How to check your age eligibility
- Enter your date of birth exactly as it appears on your Matric certificate.
- Enter the closing date of the advertisement (or the date it specifies for age).
- Enter the upper age limit for the post, e.g. 21–30 years.
- Add any relaxation you qualify for. The calculator shows whether you are within the limit.
Example
Born on 15 January 2000, applying for a post with closing date 31 October 2026 and upper age limit 25 + 5 years general relaxation. Age on the closing date = 26 years, 9 months, 16 days. Maximum allowed = 30, so the candidate is eligible.
Minimum age too
Many posts also have a minimum age (often 18 or 21). Check that your exact age on the closing date is at or above the lower limit as well.

Frequently asked questions
How is age calculated for government jobs in Pakistan?
Age is counted on the closing date for applications given in the advertisement (FPSC, PPSC, SPSC and most departments), unless the advertisement names another date. Use that date in the “Age as on” box.
Am I eligible if I am exactly 30 on the closing date with a 30-year limit?
Usually yes: with an upper limit of 30, a candidate who turns 30 on or before the closing date and is not yet 31 is often accepted, but rules vary. The calculator marks you eligible until your age exceeds the limit; read the advertisement’s exact wording.
What age relaxation is available?
Common relaxations include general relaxation announced by the federal or provincial government, extra years for government servants, persons with disabilities, widows and candidates from certain regions. Each advertisement lists which apply.
Which date of birth should I use?
Use the date of birth on your Matric certificate and CNIC; these must match on applications.
