How GEPCO calculates your bill
- Units = present reading − previous reading on your GEPCO bill.
- Energy cost = units × the rate for your slab (protected consumers up to 200 units get lower, telescopic rates).
- Fixed charges = rate per kW × sanctioned load.
- FPA = units × the fuel price adjustment NEPRA approved for an earlier month.
- Taxes: electricity duty and 18% GST, plus income tax for consumers not on the Active Taxpayer List where applicable.
Reading your GEPCO bill
- Reference number – 14 digits, used to check bills online and pay through banking apps.
- Sanctioned load – in kW; it decides your fixed charges.
- Units consumed – the billing month and the last 12 months history, useful to check protected status.
- Arrears and adjustments – previous unpaid amounts and corrections.

No. GEPCO charges the same uniform national domestic tariff notified by the federal government and NEPRA as the other distribution companies. Differences between bills come from units used, sanctioned load, FPA, taxes and arrears.
How do I check my GEPCO bill online?
Enter the 14-digit reference number printed on your bill on GEPCO’s official website or the PITC bill portal to see and download a duplicate bill.
How do I complain to GEPCO about an incorrect bill?
Call the national electricity helpline 118, use the Roshan Pakistan or GEPCO app/website complaint form, or visit your local GEPCO sub-division office with the bill.
