How to Sell on Daraz in Pakistan 2026: Step-by-Step Guide
Updated 1 November 2026
Daraz is Pakistan's largest online marketplace, and anyone with a CNIC and a bank account can start selling on it. This guide walks through opening a seller account, listing your first products, what Daraz deducts from each sale and how to price so that you actually make money.
1. What you need before you start
- A valid CNIC (individual seller) or NTN and business documents (company or partnership).
- A bank account in the same name as the seller account – payouts go only there.
- A mobile number and email you check daily; order alerts come through both.
- Products you can keep in stock and ship within the handling time Daraz sets.
2. Open a seller account
- Go to Daraz Seller Center and sign up with your mobile number.
- Choose your seller type (individual or business) and enter your shop name and address.
- Upload your CNIC (both sides) and bank details – a cheque image or bank letter.
- Wait for verification, usually a few working days. Complete the free Daraz University training while you wait.
3. List your products
Each listing needs a clear title (brand + product + key feature + size/colour), at least three clean photos on a white background, a short description, the correct category and stock quantity. The category matters twice: it decides where buyers find you and which commission rate you pay.
4. What Daraz deducts from a sale
- Commission by category – reported from about 2% (laptops) and 3% (mobiles) to 18.5% (women's fashion) and 20% (jewellery) in 2026.
- Payment fee – about 2.25% of the order value, on both prepaid and COD orders.
- Handling fee – a small fixed amount per item.
- Sales tax on Daraz fees – the provincial rate (16% in Punjab/ICT) on the commission and fees.
- Income tax withheld – reported 1% on prepaid and 2% on COD orders, higher if you are not on the Active Taxpayer List.
Put your own numbers into the Daraz commission calculator to see the payout, profit and break-even price for any product before you list it.
5. Handle orders and returns
When an order arrives, pack it, print the shipping label from Seller Center and mark it ready to ship before the deadline – late dispatch hurts your seller rating and search ranking. Buyers can return most items within the return window; check returned items carefully and raise a claim in Seller Center if something comes back damaged or swapped.
6. Get paid
Daraz releases payment for delivered orders on its payout cycle, after deducting the fees above. Download the account statement from Seller Center each cycle and match it against your orders – it is the easiest way to spot a wrong commission or an unpaid order.
7. Price for profit
- Start from your break-even price, then add your margin – never price from competitors alone.
- Keep room for vouchers and campaign discounts (11.11, 12.12, Ramadan) that you may be asked to fund.
- Low-commission categories like mobiles have thin margins for everyone; accessories and fashion carry higher commission but higher markups.
- Becoming a filer lowers the income tax withheld – see how to become a filer.
Fees and tax rates here are reported figures for 2026 and change often. Always confirm the current rates in Daraz Seller Center and with FBR before pricing.
