How Daraz deductions are calculated

  1. Commission = selling price × your category rate.
  2. Payment fee = selling price × 2.25%.
  3. Handling fee = a fixed amount per item.
  4. Sales tax on fees = (commission + payment fee + handling fee) × provincial rate (16% Punjab/ICT).
  5. Income tax withheld = selling price × 1% (prepaid) or 2% (COD), more if you are not a filer.
  6. Payout = selling price − all of the above − any shipping you pay. Profit = payout − your cost.

Worked example

A phone cover sold for Rs 2,500 (mobile accessories, 12.9%), cash on delivery, filer, cost Rs 1,500, handling Rs 20.

  1. Commission: 2,500 × 12.9% = Rs 322.50; payment fee: 2,500 × 2.25% = Rs 56.25; handling Rs 20
  2. Sales tax on fees: (322.50 + 56.25 + 20) × 16% = Rs 63.80
  3. Income tax withheld: 2,500 × 2% = Rs 50
  4. Daraz pays you: 2,500 − 512.55 = Rs 1,987.45, so profit = Rs 487 (19.5% margin)

Frequently asked questions

How much commission does Daraz charge in 2026?

It depends on the category. Under the structure reported from 1 June 2026, mobiles are about 3%, laptops 2%, TVs 4%, mobile accessories 12.9%, makeup 14.44%, women’s fashion 18.5% and jewellery 20%. Sub-categories can differ, so confirm your rate in Seller Center.

What is the Daraz payment fee?

Most 2026 sources put the payment fee at 2.25% of the order value, charged on both prepaid and cash-on-delivery orders. Older guides quote 1.25% or 1.5%.

Does Daraz deduct income tax from sellers?
